Moving to BWH

We are excited to announce that our laboratory is moving to Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, this summer! We are looking for talented post-docs, research assistants, and clinical research coordinators. Reach out directly if interested!

T32 Award

Congratulations to MD/PhD student and lab member Rose Caston for receiving a T32 fellowship in translational neuroscience for her work investigating the neural representation of pain, and how electrical stimulation can modulate it. More to come!

Grant news

Great news from many angles! In the last few weeks, we’ve received two NOAs for multi-institution collaborations. The first is a UH3 grant led by Martha Morrell (Stanford/NeuroPace) to study responsive neurostimulation for Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. The second is a U01 led by Sameer Sheth (Baylor) to record single cells in the human brain and map algorithmic state spaces. Congratulations to both teams! We are excited to work together on both projects.

Lancet article

Check out our article in Lancet on tic convulsif, a rare combination of trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm! Congratulations to Gabe and Andrea for this great paper!

R21 awarded

It’s official! Our lab received the notice of award for our NINDS R21 application, titled “Propagation Patterns of Multielectrode-Recorded Human Interictal Discharges.” This is a two-year project to investigate traveling wave properties of interictal discharges, in collaboration with Dr. Schevon at Columbia University. We are very excited and grateful to the NIH!
